If you’re considering a home or office cleaning service, you likely have some questions you need to have answered before you make a decision. Maid Simple is here to help you gather all the information you need by compiling a list of our most frequently asked questions and answering them for you. Do I need to be present when my home is cleaned?
You are not required to be at home when we complete your cleaning. We ultimately leave the decision up to you. You can choose to be there during our visit, or you can provide a key to your home that will be safely stored in a secure location.
What do I do if I need to reschedule a cleaning?
To reschedule a cleaning, you must call our scheduling service at least 48 hours in advance of your cleaning. Since we have many clients, we will attempt to find another appointment to move to your spot. Please be aware that if you do not give the proper notice, you may incur a fee of $50 for a late notice cancellation or reschedule.
What happens if I accidentally lock you out on my cleaning day?
If our staff members are unable to get into your home on the day of cleaning, you may incur a lock-out fee. To avoid this problem, many clients give us a copy of their key or hide one in a lockbox on the property.
What should I do about my security system?
If you have a security system, be sure you make the appropriate arrangements to allow us to enter your home on cleaning day. Many of our clients will set up a guest or temporary code for us that allows us access on the scheduled day.
What should I do with my pets on cleaning day?
At Maid Simple, we love pets, but we don’t want to be surprised by them. We ask that you please let us know if you have pets as well as provide us with any information about your pets that would be helpful to us, such as if they are friendly or where they will be during the cleaning. We do suggest that your pets be kept away from the areas we plan to clean so that we won’t have any furry friends hindering our capability to clean effectively.
Are my valuables safe?
If there are any special valuables, heirlooms, or irreplaceable items in your home or office, we ask that you please put them away or instruct us not to touch them during our cleaning services. A closed-door or drawer is a way to tell us not to clean a specific area. In the event that damage does occur, we do carry all necessary insurances.
How do I pay for my cleaning services?
When you book an appointment with our team, we will require you to give us your credit card information. This card will be charged for the cleaning services. We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa.
Will I need to provide cleaning products or equipment?
You will not need to provide cleaning products or equipment. Our staff arrives prepared with all necessary cleaning solutions as well as mops, vacuums, and other supplies. If you have special products that you wish for us to use, please let us know.
